Sony Interactive Entertainment and IO Interactive have officially announced a special State of Play event focused entirely on 007 First Light, the highly anticipated new James Bond game. The showcase will take place on September 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET / 19:00 BST / 20:00 CEST, and will be streamed live on YouTube (with subtitles) and Twitch.
The event promises over 30 minutes of gameplay footage, highlighting James Bond’s very first mission as a newly recruited agent of MI6. Viewers can expect high-octane car chases, stealth sequences, and intense action combat, as well as exclusive developer insights from IO Interactive.
007 First Light is scheduled to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam & Epic Games Store). With the new PS5 Pro also offering a 60 FPS Quality Mode, fans are eager to see how the game will push next-gen hardware.
The timing of this event is especially notable as it arrives just weeks before Tokyo Game Show 2025 (September 21–24), leading many to speculate that more reveals could follow soon after.
