Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut Launches June 2025 with English Dub and Exclusive Switch 2 Features
SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, releasing on June 5, 2025, for Nintendo Switch 2. This definitive edition features a full English dub, enhanced content, and previously unseen scenes, making it the most complete version of the fan-favorite prequel.
New English Voice Cast
For the first time in series history, Yakuza 0 offers a full English voice option:
Kazuma Kiryu: Yong Yea (voice), Topher Ngo (singing)
Goro Majima: Matt Mercer
Akira Nishikiyama: Kaiji Tang (voice), Greg Chun (singing)
Makoto Makimura: Risa Mei
Osamu Kashiwagi: David Hayter
…and many more, including Alejandro Saab, Andrew Kishino, and Fred Tatasciore.
This new dub gives players a fresh way to experience the drama and intensity of the Yakuza underworld.
New Theme Song “Bubble”
The updated soundtrack includes “Bubble,” performed by Shonan no Kaze. The track is a direct homage to Japan’s economic bubble era of the late 1980s and matches the game’s tone perfectly.
Additional Features
Brand-new cinematic scenes
Online multiplayer mode “Red Light Raid”
English dub and full subtitle support in French, German, Italian, and Spanish
Return of licensed music from the original Japanese release
These additions elevate the Director’s Cut as the ultimate version of the Yakuza 0 experience, now optimized for Switch 2 hardware.
