This new version aims to redeem the limitations of the original Switch port, which was widely criticized for its visual downgrade. With significantly enhanced graphics, faster load times, and full Joy-Con 2 support, the Switch 2 release could mark the first time the Hogwarts experience truly fits a portable console.
Players can expect a more fluid open-world experience thanks to faster load times and enhanced Joy-Con 2 functionality. Avalanche Software and Krome Studios seem to have taken fan feedback seriously after the original Switch port’s visual limitations.

Currently, the original Switch version is discounted to $17.99 on Nintendo eShop until May 19. By purchasing it now and upgrading for $10, new players can access the Switch 2 version for only $27.99 — a much better value than buying the full $59.99 version.
