Neon Inferno Set to Ignite the Indie Shooter Scene This October

Retro Futurism Meets Tactical Chaos in Zenovia Interactive's Ambitious New Title

Zenovia Interactive has officially announced the release date for Neon Inferno, a 2D run-and-gun meets gallery-shooter hybrid. Launching on October 2, 2025, the game will be available for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Set in a dystopian New York City in 2055, Neon Inferno immerses players in a violent turf war between criminal syndicates and a corrupted police force. As either Angelo Morano or Mariana Vitti, players fight to elevate a rising crime family while navigating dual combat layers—foreground and background—allowing for deep and dynamic shooter mechanics. The gameplay combines old-school pixel aesthetics with modern combat features, including Bullet Time deflection, Arcade Mode, and local co-op support. Drawing inspiration from classics like Contra and Wild Guns, the title reimagines the retro shooter formula for a new generation. Zenovia doesn’t just pay homage to the past—it reinvents it. The strategic dual-layered gunplay demands more than button-mashing; it asks players to think, react, and adapt in real time. This isn’t just another nostalgia trip—it’s a refined, modernized challenge that could easily earn cult classic status.

As Neon Inferno readies for launch, it stands as one of the most promising indie action games of 2025, combining tight mechanics with rich atmosphere and high replayability.
