Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth Announced

Hyper Games is once again diving into the gentle magic of Moominvalley. Following the success of Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, the studio has officially unveiled Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth, a cozy, story-rich puzzle adventure due out in 2026 for PC and unannounced consoles.

This time, the spotlight shifts to Moomintroll himself. Waking from hibernation far too early, he finds Moominvalley transformed into a quiet, snow-covered dream under the watch of the mysterious Lady of the Cold. Alone and unsure, he sets out to find warmth, both literal and emotional, by forging unexpected friendships and helping those in need.

Hyper Games describes it as a standalone spiritual successor to Snufkin, meaning you can jump in fresh or return to Moominvalley with a new lens. The focus is on narrative, exploration, and cozy environmental puzzles, all wrapped in the charm of Tove Jansson’s timeless world.

The game is being built with the same love and visual whimsy fans now expect from Hyper Games, with a beautiful third-person, top-down view of a frozen Moominvalley filled with secrets and stories waiting to be uncovered.

Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is set to release in 2026. No platforms confirmed yet beyond PC, but console players should expect to join in too.
