Former Xbox Exclusive Stalker 2 Is Heading to PlayStation

After months of speculation, GSC Game World has confirmed that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro in late 2025. Originally a console exclusive for Xbox, this gritty post-apocalyptic survival shooter will soon be available for PlayStation players—with no official date yet, but a release window locked in.

The PS5 version will support the DualSense controller’s features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for a more immersive feel. GSC also mentioned additional technical enhancements specifically for PS5 Pro, likely boosting visuals and performance.

Stalker 2 puts you in the shoes of a lone stalker exploring the deadly Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, where mutated creatures, radiation, and anomalies turn every mission into a high-stakes survival story. The game mixes open-world exploration, intense firefights, and survival mechanics like hunger, bleeding, and weapon maintenance.

Despite some early technical issues at launch on PC and Xbox in 2024, Stalker 2 sold over 1 million copies within days and has been steadily improving with patches and updates. The PlayStation version is expected to launch with those fixes baked in.
