Indie studio Q-Games has announced that their newest title, Dreams of Another, will officially launch on October 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5 (with PS VR2 support) and PC via Steam. As part of a special promotion, a bundle featuring Dreams of Another and PixelJunk Eden 2 will also be available beginning October 7.
Set in a surreal dream-like world, Dreams of Another offers a unique twist on action gameplay: instead of destroying, players create. Using a point-cloud rendering system, every move shapes the environment around you. This mechanic transforms exploration into an act of construction, not chaos.
The game invites players to follow cryptic characters such as the “Man in Pajamas” and the “Traveling Soldier,” uncovering abstract stories and hidden truths. Its dual camera system—third-person exploration mixed with first-person VR perspective—provides an immersive experience tailored to both traditional and virtual reality players.
Visually distinct and emotionally layered, Dreams of Another stands out with art and sound direction led by Baiyon, known for the PixelJunk series. The minimalist soundtrack complements the enigmatic narrative and enhances the meditative pace of the gameplay.
Rather than chasing high-speed thrills, Dreams of Another leans into introspection and the joy of shaping surreal spaces. For players eager to explore meaning over mayhem, this release promises a refreshing shift.
