Nintendo has announced a 25-minute Partner Showcase presentation scheduled for July 31. The broadcast will focus exclusively on third-party games for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, signaling a broader effort to highlight collaborations beyond first-party titles.
Among the most anticipated appearances are Hollow Knight: Silksong, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, Hades 2, Persona 3 Reload, and Metaphor: ReFantazio. These titles suggest that Nintendo is ready to showcase the technical and genre diversity possible on the new platform.
Notably, there will be no updates regarding first-party games such as Metroid Prime 4 or any core Mario franchise entries. This absence seems deliberate, potentially reflecting Nintendo’s intent to demonstrate the Switch 2’s strength as a sustainable ecosystem with strong third-party support.
Following the first wave of Switch 2 exclusives like Mario Kart World, the company appears poised to shift attention toward how external developers will leverage the new hardware. This event may define whether the Switch 2 can move beyond its predecessors’ image as a first-party machine and grow into a well-rounded platform.
The presentation will stream on Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels as well as via the Nintendo Today app.
