Koei Tecmo has announced that Dynasty Warriors: Origins will officially land on the Nintendo Switch 2 on January 22, 2026. This marks a big moment for the franchise, as it’s the first time the mainline series is arriving on Nintendo’s next-gen hardware.
The game originally launched in early 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, reviving the iconic “one versus thousands” hack-and-slash formula with updated visuals, larger battlefields, and new gameplay systems. Players once again take control of legendary warriors from the Three Kingdoms era, cutting through massive enemy hordes in the series’ signature over-the-top style.
