NetEase has officially revealed its first-ever triple-A single-player game. Titled Blood Message, this action‑adventure is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 by 24 Entertainment and set in the final years of China’s Tang Dynasty. Although there’s no release date yet, the game is confirmed for both consoles and PC.
In Blood Message you control a nameless messenger and his young son as they fight their way across a thousand‑mile journey to Chang’an. Along the way you’ll cross shifting sands, brutal sieges, and harsh terrain while carrying a message that could change the fate of a war‑torn empire. NetEase highlights cinematic storytelling with visceral, realistic combat that weaves stealth and survival mechanics together.
Executive vice president Zhipeng Hu says after two decades building multiplayer titles NetEase is ready to deliver a truly epic solo experience. If today’s reveal trailer is any indication Blood Message looks poised to be a bold step for the company and an immersive historical journey for players.
