Sucker Punch has officially revealed Ghost of Yōtei Legends, a free DLC expansion launching in 2026. Announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live, Legends brings back the cooperative supernatural mode first introduced with Ghost of Tsushima.
A Supernatural Twist on Ghost of Yōtei
Unlike the grounded single-player campaign, Legends leans fully into fantasy. Players will team up in a darker, mythical version of the Yōtei world, battling demonic threats pulled straight from Japanese folklore. This includes monstrous, giant-sized versions of the Yōtei Six, along with entirely new enemy types.
Two Modes, Four Classes
Legends features both two-player story missions and four-player survival challenges, offering flexibility in how you approach its cooperative gameplay. Each player picks from four character classes, each with unique abilities and roles to support the team.
Free for All Owners
Like Ghost of Tsushima Legends before it, this expansion will be completely free for everyone who owns Ghost of Yōtei. Sucker Punch is positioning Legends as an ongoing co-op experience that complements the single-player campaign, while letting players dive into something completely different tonally.
Looking Ahead
Ghost of Yōtei launches October 2, 2025, exclusively on PlayStation 5. Legends will follow in 2026, with more details to come as we get closer. Expect more deep dives into classes, enemies, and survival challenges in the coming months.
