GTA 6 Online Leak Sparks Debate Over 96-Player Lobbies and Griefing Chaos

A fresh GTA 6 Online leak has fans fired up—and split. The supposed info, dropped by insider “Fravilys,” claims that Rockstar is aiming for 96-player lobbies, seamless crossplay, and zero loading screens in GTA 6’s multiplayer mode. If true, we’re looking at the biggest and most ambitious GTA Online experience ever. But not everyone’s convinced this is a good thing.

Massive Lobbies: Dream or Disaster?

On paper, having almost 100 players in one session sounds like a next-gen sandbox dream. Imagine massive city-wide shootouts, player-driven chaos, and free roam that actually feels alive. Add no loading screens, cross-platform play, and seamless session joining, and you’ve got a beast of a multiplayer setup.

But fans are already clashing over it. Some are hyped, saying this would be GTA taken to the next level—bigger, crazier, more immersive. Others? Not so much.

Players Are Worried About the “Online Mayhem”

A huge chunk of the community is worried this will ruin the experience. Concerns range from non-stop griefing, voice chat spam, and trolls running wild, to the simple fact that too many players might just make the game unplayable. Some compared it to chaotic modded servers or “lobby hell” in games like Rust or DayZ.

“It’s gonna be 96 people, and 90 of them will just be spawn-killing on flying bikes,” one Reddit user joked.

Another big concern is server performance. Even GTA 5 Online still struggles with stability, and many doubt Rockstar can scale up this hard without major tech issues. Still, others think Rockstar wouldn’t even try this unless they were sure it could work—especially with their rumored dedicated online backend overhaul.

So… Is It Legit?

Nothing’s confirmed. This leak, like many before it, is unverified—but it’s gained traction because it aligns with Rockstar’s evolving online direction. With GTA 6 already pushing immersion in its main story, it’s not crazy to think GTA 6 Online will aim to be a shared, persistent world that competes with the likes of MMOs and Battle Royale hybrids.

If Rockstar really is going for this kind of scale, it could change everything—from how missions work to how players form crews, own property, or compete for control of entire neighborhoods. Or… it could just turn into chaos city with no brakes.
