343 Industries has officially announced that Halo: Campaign Evolved will launch on PlayStation 5 in 2026, marking the first time the iconic franchise arrives on a Sony console. This rebuilt version of the original Halo: Combat Evolvedcampaign has been completely modernized while staying true to the game that defined a generation of shooters.

For nearly 25 years, Halo has delivered unforgettable sci-fi storytelling, legendary battles, and strong community-driven gameplay. Now, PlayStation players will finally be able to experience the origins of Master Chief and Cortana, joining the fight against the Covenant in a fully remastered campaign built from the ground up.
Every mission has been enhanced with high-definition graphics, new cinematics, and refined controls for smoother, faster gameplay. The soundtrack has been remastered, sound effects redesigned, and movement and combat fine-tuned for modern systems. The campaign also introduces nine additional weapons and three new prequel missions featuring Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson, expanding the Halo universe with fresh story content.

Players can now hijack enemy vehicles like the Covenant Wraith tank and use new gameplay modifiers through the largest selection of Skulls ever included, allowing for endless replayability and customization. The game supports two-player couch co-op and four-player online crossplay with cross-progression across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, ensuring a fully connected experience no matter where you play.
While 343 Industries hasn’t confirmed an exact release date, the studio has targeted a 2026 launch window. The announcement has already generated massive excitement among fans, celebrating Halo’s arrival on a new platform and ushering in a new era where players from every console can share the same battlefield.
