July’s PS Plus Lineup Includes New World: Aeternum, Cyberpunk 2077, and More

Sony just dropped the full list of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for July 2025, and this month’s lineup is stacked. While Cyberpunk 2077 and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden are big headliners, one title in particular stands out for RPG fans ready to sink some serious time into a new world—literally.

That game is New World: Eternal, Amazon Games’ ambitious open-world MMORPG that originally launched on PC in 2023 and later expanded to consoles in 2024. Now, it’s joining PS Plus on July 15, and subscribers at the Extra and Premium tiers can download and play it at no extra cost.

Set on the mysterious and supernatural island of Aeternum, New World offers a blend of action-RPG combat, crafting, exploration, and massive PvE and PvP content. You’ll create your own character, pick a weapon-based class, and carve out your path in a world filled with danger, lore, and opportunity. Whether you’re gathering resources, joining massive faction wars, or diving into endgame expeditions, there’s always something to do—and a reason to keep playing.

This isn’t just a time-waster. Some players have logged over 600 hours in New World, thanks to its evolving endgame systems, faction reputation grinds, seasonal content, and loot-driven progression. With its full console optimization, DualSense integration, and improved UI for PS5, it now plays smoother than ever.

Adding a heavyweight MMORPG like New World: Aeternum to the PS Plus library seriously boosts the value of this month’s lineup. Whether you’re diving in solo or teaming up with friends, it’s easy to get lost in Aeternum’s rich world—and just as hard to leave.
