At the June 4, 2025 PlayStation State of Play event, Marvel Games and Arc System Works unveiled Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, an exciting new 4v4 tag-team fighting game coming in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
This 2.5D fighter features anime-inspired versions of popular Marvel heroes and villains, including Iron Man, Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Storm, Star-Lord, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, and Doctor Doom. Players can build teams of four characters, mixing main fighters with assist roles to pull off powerful combos and strategic team attacks.
Designed to be accessible to both hardcore fighting game fans and newcomers, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls offers both traditional fighting game inputs and simplified control options. Developed by Arc System Works, the studio behind acclaimed fighting games like Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball FighterZ, this title promises high-quality visuals and smooth gameplay.
Marking a fresh chapter in Marvel’s fighting game lineup, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls breaks away from the Marvel vs. Capcom legacy and introduces a new, innovative team-based combat experience.
The game is scheduled for release in 2026 on PS5 and PC platforms.
