Pokémon Legends: Z-A is less than two months away, and The Pokémon Company is keeping the hype alive with another Mega Evolution reveal. Following Mega Victreebel’s debut last week, Mega Hawlucha has now been confirmed for the game.
Mega Hawlucha Steps Into the Ring
According to the official description, Mega Hawlucha doubles down on its entertainer persona, using its muscles to absorb punishment before striking back with raw power. Its showboating style turns into intimidation, luring opponents into attacks and then punishing them with flinches. Of course, it still relies on its trademark Flying Press to finish the fight in style.
Real-World Lucha Libre Event
To celebrate Mega Hawlucha’s reveal, The Pokémon Company is teaming up with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) for a special event at Arena México on September 25. The showcase will feature four exhibition matches with top lucha libre stars, including the legendary Místico. Tickets will be available soon, but if you can’t attend in person, the event will also be streamed live on official Pokémon and CMLL channels.
Mega Hawlucha will be part of the roster when Pokémon Legends: Z-A launches on October 16 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
