Capcom kicked off its Tokyo Game Show 2025 announcements early by revealing new details about the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, confirming online functionality, visual updates, and quality-of-life improvements ahead of its 2026 launch.
A Full Series Revival
The collection includes every mainline Star Force entry:

Mega Man Star Force: Pegasus, Leo, Dragon
Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x Ninja, Zerker x Saurian
Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker, Black Ace
Originally released between 2006 and 2008 on Nintendo DS, the games followed Geo Stelar and the alien Omega-Xis, merging to become Mega Man in a world mixing RPG mechanics with real-time battles. This is the first time the entire series has been unified in one package.
New Features and Enhancements
The collection modernizes the classics with:
Online multiplayer for both casual and ranked play, including up to 100 Brother Bands.
Retro and enhanced graphic filters, letting players choose the visual style.
Original or remastered soundtracks.
Special event cards, previously only available through limited promotions.
Difficulty assist options for smoother accessibility.
These updates ensure the series remains faithful to its roots while also appealing to newcomers.
Quality-of-Life Upgrades
Capcom confirmed extra resolution and performance filters, matchmaking refinements, and the inclusion of previously Japan-exclusive content. Players will also be able to replay with either classic visuals or modern polish.
Release Window
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection will launch in 2026 for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
