Yacht Club Games, the team behind Shovel Knight, has announced that their gothic action-adventure title Mina the Hollower will release on October 31, 2025. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, making it a perfect Halloween treat for fans of retro-inspired action games.
Set in a cursed, monster-filled world, Mina the Hollower stars a whip-wielding mouse named Mina, who can burrow underground to evade enemies and uncover hidden paths. Inspired by Zelda, Castlevania, and Bloodborne, the game mixes classic visuals with modern gameplay elements like fast melee combat, sidearms, and a unique health recovery system that rewards aggression.
The game features a haunting chiptune soundtrack by Jake Kaufman, with a guest track by Yuzo Koshiro, adding to its eerie, gothic atmosphere.
A free demo is available now on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest (June 9–16). The demo includes the opening level and a boss fight, with progress transferring to the full game upon release.
