Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Announced for PS4 and PS5

During the June 2025 PlayStation State of Play showcase, Digital Eclipse officially revealed Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, a massive compilation of iconic titles from the franchise’s early years. Set to launch later this year on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, the collection brings together a treasure trove of classic games and rare behind-the-scenes content.

The Legacy Kollection will feature multiple fan-favorite entries, including the original Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, Mortal Kombat 3, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and Mortal Kombat 4. It also includes handheld titles such as Mortal Kombat Advance, Deadly Alliance, and Tournament Edition, providing a complete nostalgia trip for longtime fans.

One of the most exciting additions is the support for online multiplayer with rollback netcode, ensuring smoother and more responsive battles. Players can also dive into the rich history of the series through a vast library of extras—like developer interviews with Ed Boon and John Tobias, early design documents, motion-capture clips, and previously unreleased artwork.

With no exact release date confirmed yet, Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is expected to launch sometime in 2025. For fighting game enthusiasts and retro gaming lovers alike, this collection is shaping up to be an essential release on PlayStation.
