Nintendo Grows Game Boy Lineup on Switch Online

Nintendo has just expanded its Switch Online service, bringing four new titles to the Game Boy and Game Boy Color lineup available through the standard ‘Nintendo Classics’ tier. The latest additions span a range of genres and eras, offering something for nearly every retro gaming enthusiast.

Leading the charge is Gradius: The Interstellar Assault (1991/92), a side-scrolling space shooter from Konami, and Survival Kids (1999), a unique adventure that blends exploration and survival mechanics. RPG fans can dive into The Sword of Hope (1989/91), a classic fantasy tale by Kemco, while puzzle lovers can enjoy Kirby’s Star Stacker (1997), a charming and challenging spin-off starring the iconic pink puffball.

These games are now available to all subscribers of the base-tier Nintendo Switch Online service. The same titles have also been released for Japanese users, keeping the global library in sync.

Nintendo continues to build momentum following last week’s Switch Online + Expansion Pack update, which introduced Killer Instinct Gold for the Nintendo 64 library and fans can expect even more retro titles to be added to the service in the coming days. Nintendo seems committed to keeping its classics catalog fresh and engaging, so keep an eye out for further announcements soon.
