Nintendo has officially announced a wave of price increases taking effect on August 3, 2025. The changes impact current-generation hardware, accessories, and selected Amiibo figures—while leaving the Switch 2 and its games untouched for now.
Target prices are leaked already:
Nintendo Switch OLED: Now $399.99 (previously $349.99)
Standard Switch: Now $339.99 (previously $299.99)
Switch Lite: Now $229.99 (previously $199.99)
Alongside the consoles, several Switch accessories, some Switch 2 peripherals, select Amiibo, and the Alarmo device are also seeing price hikes.
Nintendo confirmed that Switch 2 hardware, physical and digital game prices, and Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions will remain at their current pricing “at this time.”
Given the ongoing backlash against Game Key Cards If Nintendo is firm about raising hardware prices due to tariffs, we hope they show the same determination in ending the Game Key Card practice and committing to proper physical releases moving forward!
