Capcom has dropped a brand-new trailer for its upcoming swordplay action game, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, giving fans a deeper look at Miyamoto Musashi’s journey.
A Closer Look at Musashi
The new video, titled Musashi’s Story, explores how the legendary swordsman becomes bound to the power of the Oni, not by choice but by circumstance. The trailer teases dramatic moments where Musashi struggles with this newfound curse, while also introducing new characters who will cross paths with his fate.
Returning to Onimusha’s Roots
Way of the Sword looks to carry forward the classic series’ DNA—fast-paced samurai combat, supernatural elements, and heavy atmosphere—while bringing the gameplay into a new era. The footage shows cinematic duels, brutal finishing moves, and glimpses of larger-than-life Oni foes that will test Musashi’s blade.
Capcom confirmed that Onimusha: Way of the Sword will release in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
