PlayStation State of Play Set for September 24

35 Minutes of Updates Featuring Saros Gameplay and More

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a new State of Play showcase scheduled for September 24, 2025. The broadcast will begin at 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET and will run for over 35 minutes, featuring fresh updates from PlayStation Studios and key publishing partners.

One of the highlights will be a five-minute gameplay segment from Housemarque’s upcoming title Saros, offering fans their first extended look at the highly anticipated project. In addition, viewers can expect announcements and updates from both AAA studios and independent developers, making this event a diverse showcase of the PlayStation ecosystem.

The event will be streamed across multiple platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, with subtitles available in various languages. Sony emphasized that this State of Play will deliver a mix of gameplay, trailers, and behind-the-scenes insights aimed at keeping fans updated on what’s next for PlayStation.

For Retro Palmetto readers, this State of Play is particularly noteworthy because it continues Sony’s strategy of providing shorter but content-rich presentations. Rather than waiting for massive annual showcases, fans now get more frequent snapshots of development progress. With Saros and potential surprises on the agenda, this September broadcast could set the tone for PlayStation’s lineup heading into 2026.
