The Pokémon Company has confirmed that Pokémon Legends Z A will launch on October 16, 2025. The announcement came through a new post on Twitter, which also reconfirmed that a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game is on the way, offering improved graphics and smoother frame rates.

If you’re getting the game on the original Switch, don’t worry. Both digital and physical versions will support an upgrade pack that lets players transition to the Switch 2 edition when ready.
Alongside the release date, we also got a first look at the official cover art for Pokémon Legends Z A, giving fans a visual taste of what’s coming later this year.
That’s not all. The Pokémon Company also announced that a new Pokémon Presents broadcast is set for July 22, 2025. While no details have been revealed yet, it’s likely that Legends Z A will play a major role in the showcase.
