Pragmata Finally Coming to PS5 in 2026

After a long silence, Capcom finally pulled back the curtain on Pragmata during the latest State of Play showcase, giving us a fresh glimpse at their new original IP and confirming a 2026 launch window for PlayStation 5.

Set on the cold, eerie surface of the moon, Pragmata is a sci-fi action adventure that blends strategy and dual-character gameplay. The trailer introduces us to Hugh and Diana—an unlikely duo trapped in a crumbling lunar station. Together, they’ll need to fight against a rogue AI, combining their unique skills in real-time, dual-protagonist gameplay that relies on hacking and coordination.

Unlike traditional action games, Pragmata pushes players to control both characters simultaneously, adding a tactical layer to the combat as you solve puzzles and overcome high-stakes encounters. It’s a system Capcom promises will set Pragmata apart from the rest.

Visually, the game embraces a haunting sci-fi aesthetic—cold steel corridors, moody lighting, and vast, isolated lunar backdrops all set the tone for what looks to be a more cerebral entry in Capcom’s lineup. Though the gameplay footage was brief, the mechanics look sharp, and the atmosphere is already delivering.

The team at Capcom says they’re not done revealing what Pragmata has to offer. More details on the story and combat systems are expected to drop soon, but for now, this trailer is a solid reintroduction—and a promising sign that Pragmatamight be one of 2026’s most intriguing PS5 exclusives.
